Deep In The Work

At the age of 30, I took a HUGE leap of faith and left the fashion industry (where I’d been since I was 17) to pivot to arts and culture. A chance RT on Twitter lead to a happy hour hosted by writer and art critic Jessica Lynne that became an interview with DeLana Dameron that set me off to the trajectory of a lifetime.

SO excited that I got to talk with my mentor + sistafriend DeLana about our roles as arts workers, Black women that love Black stuff, and the urgency to support Black institutions. After listening, I encourage you to make a donation to DeLana’s Black Art Futures Fund that offers grants to Black arts & culture institutions across the country.
